ESCC Trading Standards
Brief
To update and modernise the current office, to enable Smart Working desking and storage solutions to be used.
Implementation
A well planned and successful installation took place during march 2009 over 2 days, supervised by our on-site installation manager and installed by the Portsdown fitting team.
Our solution
Portsdown worked with ESCC to create a flexible office using benching solutions, standard and height adjustable desking, tambour storage and the Think task chair. The task chair has minimal adjustments on it with a seat mechanism that adjusts itself automatically to the weight of the user, meaning that whichever user is sitting at the chair, the adjustment is correct for them. The products are all from Steelcase which meant that we could match the top and metal finishes on all products, creating a cohesive office that is inspiring for the staff to work in. Lockers were provided to give personal storage space as well as a post slot for each person. Screen mounted monitor arms were used throughout, to enable each user to personalise their work space and create the right environment for VDU use, along with desk top power to give flexibility the user for plugging in phone chargers or laptops.
