Teach

Creating the perfect learning environment for students whether you're a school, college or university is an important factor when designing your new space. Luckily, Portsdown have over 30 years experience in design, consultancy and sourcing furniture for education, creating inspiring places to learn at every age from nursery class to university.

Here are just 5 examples of how we create inspiring spaces where both staff and students can excel.

1. Bangor University

We created a dynamic and interactive student space on the top floor of the iconic Pontio building. The space was designed to give the students an environment that fostered collaboration as well as offering a bright and engaging space to meet, learn and study.

4. Abbey Court School (SEN)

Portsdown engaged directly with the school as FF&E consultants to understand the specialist requirements for the new school building. Legacy furniture and new FF&E was carefully planned into the new spaces, which were considerably larger than their existing building. A wide range of specialist furniture was supplied, and through our extensive supply chain we were able to combine best value with a quality service.

5. Northwood School

Providing both fixed and loose furniture, Portsdown worked with the site team and client to produce a full design on all fixed furniture throughout the school. This was installed by our in-house team over a 10 week programme working to the contractors dates. With our understanding of the functionality and design that Northwood was hoping to achieve, Portsdown compiled a full loose furniture schedule, and through interactive meetings with the client we worked on designs and styles of furniture to ensure the desired look whilst keeping within the clients budget.
